Agreement
By downloading, accessing, or using the Danali mobile app, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. Browsing danali.app for information about Danali is also subject to these Terms where they apply to the website. The website does not provide budgeting access or a web dashboard. If you do not agree, do not use Danali.
What Danali is
Danali is a local-first, manual budgeting application for mobile devices. You enter your own income, expenses, categories, and Payment Methods (labels such as Cash or Debit). You can budget on your device without linking a bank. Danali does not connect to banks or financial institutions, does not request or store bank login credentials, and does not pull transactions from outside accounts.
Privacy mode in the app hides amounts on screen only. It is visual masking, not encryption.
Danali is a planning tool only. It is not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. You are responsible for your own financial decisions and for the accuracy of what you enter.
Personal space and shared space
Each user has a private personal space for their own budget. You may optionally create or join one shared space (Family) to plan together with other members. Personal-space data is not shared with other members. Shared-space data is visible to members of that space according to the app’s rules and your role.
Each person must use their own login. Shared credentials are not supported.
Accounts and cloud features
Current Danali releases support optional cloud sign-in with email one-time codes (OTP), a personal account and profile, shared-space membership, invite and join flows, shared-space sync, partial personal-plan sync for signed-in users, and plan or billing-related account state handled in the app and on our backend. You may also use Danali locally without an account for on-device budgeting.
Cloud sync, subscriptions, and security are actively maintained as Danali moves toward broader release (including closed beta). Some capabilities—such as complete personal multi-device sync everywhere, production billing verification on every platform, and full operational security hardening—may still be in progress. Danali is not represented as a finished public v1.0 in every respect.
You must provide accurate information and keep your sign-in method secure. Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Danali plans and subscriptions
Danali may offer free and paid plans (for example Free, Solo, and Family). Paid plans, when available on your platform, are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play (and may be managed with RevenueCat). Store terms and refund rules apply to purchases. Entitlement and access state may be enforced in the app and on our servers; production verification may still be evolving ahead of wider release. Subscription features and pricing may change; we will describe material changes in the app or on danali.app where practical.
Your content and data
You retain ownership of the information you enter. You grant Danali the limited rights needed to operate the app (for example, storing data on your device and, when you sign in or use shared spaces, syncing account, shared-space, and related cloud data with our services).
You are responsible for backups you create through export, and for protecting your device. See the Privacy Policy for how data is stored locally and in the cloud.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Danali for unlawful purposes.
- Attempt to break, overload, or reverse engineer the service.
- Interfere with other users’ access or shared spaces.
- Misrepresent your identity or membership.
Availability and changes
We may update Danali, add or remove features, or suspend access for maintenance, security, or legal reasons. We may update these Terms; the “Last updated” date will change when we do. Material changes may also be communicated in the app where appropriate.
Danali is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, Danali and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including decisions you make based on your budget entries. Our total liability for any claim related to Danali is limited to the amount you paid us for Danali in the twelve months before the claim, or zero if you use a free plan.
Termination
You may delete local data or sign out in Settings. Signed-in users may start Delete account and data in the app: access ends immediately when deletion begins, and there is a 30-day recovery window before permanent removal. If you are in a shared space, you may need to leave first; shared-space owners may need to remove other members and dissolve the space before account deletion. See our Delete Account page. We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms or if required by law.
