Overview
Danali is local-first: your personal budget data is stored on your device. You can use the app without an account, or sign in for Solo sync and Family shared space. Danali does not connect to banks.
This page explains how to remove data on your device and how signed-in account deletion works—including a 30-day recovery window before permanent removal.
Delete local data (no account)
Open Settings and choose Delete local data. This removes budgets, transactions, goals, payment methods, and Feed activity on that device. It does not delete a cloud account or change shared-space membership on our servers.
Start account deletion (signed in)
In Settings, choose Delete account and data. Confirming starts staged deletion with a 30-day recovery window. Normal app access ends when deletion starts; local data on the device is cleared as part of the in-app flow.
Recovery
For 30 days you may recover by signing in with the same email and following in-app steps. After that window, your account and cloud profile are scheduled for permanent deletion. Contact support@danali.app if you need help.
Subscriptions
Cancel App Store or Google Play subscriptions separately from account deletion. Manage subscriptions in your device store settings.
